Hey Beach Bum Erin,

After a year long engagement, our wedding day couldn't come soon enough. We worked closely with Beach Bum Erin and The Royal in Playa del Carmen was a perfect fit. We were fortunate to have over 30 guests take advantage of the Royal's excellent prices and Beach Bum Erin helped everyone schedule their trips. Of course we were a little nervous since we didn't do a site visit, but the grounds were beyond perfect. We met with a Royal wedding coordinator upon arrival and she set us at ease. Although we decided to get married in downtown Playa, we saw multiple ceremonies on site and they were all equally amazing. The wedding day could not have run more smoothly and the Royal staff was accommodating at every turn. During our reception, we made the decision to extend by an hour and this was not a problem at all. I really can't put into words how helpful the staff was for our wedding day. Each of our guests mentioned afterwards that they will visit the Royal in the future and everyone seemed to have a top notch vacation.

The rooms - AMAZING. Each room has a jacuzzi in-suite and a mini-bar stocked with your favorite beverages. The beds were great (unlike most resorts) and the showers only made me wish I had something similar at home.

The food - A fantastic mix of upscale, snacks and buffet style restaurants. Whatever you are looking for, you can find it in one of the restaurants.

The staff - from the wedding coordinators to the cleaning staff, everyone was beyond nice.

I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an affordable, fun vacation. We'll definitely be going back.
